Oaxen Slip
An interpretation of Nordic bistro food

Stockholm Insider

Welcome to Oaxen Krog & Slip – Oaxen Krog, Bistro Slip, Prince Van Orangiën & Oaxen Club room.

One of the top 50 restaurants in the world, located out on Djurgården island, where its combination of seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and modern twists on classic Swedish cuisine have become more popular than ever. Light floods the room and boats hang from the girders in a nod to the local shipbuilding industry. The food is wholesome and heartening and features plenty of seafood - whole fish dishes are a speciality.

The Archipelago
A Day Trip by Boat

Stockholm Insider

The Stockholm archipelago is a cluster of some 30000 islands, skerries and rocks and begins just a few minutes away from the city ©mustseeplaces.eu

One of the best parts about Stockholm is to actually leave the rush of the big city. Just a few minutes away from the city of Stockholm, the archipelago begins with nearly 30,000 islands, islets and rocks - from Grisslehamn to Landsort. Book an Airbnb in the Archipelago and explore uninhabited islets as well as islands with the typical Swedish nature and ancient villages where large houses and small cottages stand side by side.

Getting there: Waxholmsbolaget runs the regular public transport boats and operates daily services to hundreds of destinations in the Stockholm archipelago.
